The real cost of a cross-chain transfer is not just the percentage shown beside “fee.” Add the network fee to submit the transaction, the amount deducted before delivery, and any token-conversion impact required by the route. For an Across Bridge transfer, the reliable decision is to compare the amount leaving your wallet with the amount the destination wallet is expected to receive immediately before you approve.
Start with the amount you need to receive
Work backward from the destination-chain balance you actually need. If you plan to buy an asset, repay a position, or pay for another transaction after bridging, reserve enough of the destination chain’s native token for gas.
